The 2020 PPANJ Annual Convention is here!
Join us Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th for an exciting weekend full of print competition, celebration and education!
Saturday, March 28, 2020
The work submitted in the 2020 PPANJ Print Competition will be judged live - and you’re invited! Starting at 9:30am, take a seat and watch the judges score and comment on submissions of both members and non-members.
After the public judging, the jury will deliberate further to determine the winners of state awards, including Rookie of the Year (the maker of a case with the four highest scoring images of a first time entrant in the PPANJ Print Competition), 320 Pins (awarded to makers of four images with a cumulative score 320 or higher), Highest Cumulative Print Case (the highest scoring print case submitted) and Best in Show (the judge’s favorite NJ image, not necessarily the highest scoring). There is also an award for the Best Out of State Image for those who do not reside in New Jersey.
The outcome of jury’s decisions will be celebrated at the awards banquet in the evening. Your ticket includes access to a dinner and awards ceremony, which kicks off at 7:00pm. Sit back, relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and cheer on members who take home the top prizes!

This year, the PPANJ has the pleasure of welcoming the talented Tatiana Lumiere as our keynote speaker. Tatiana is an international award winning portrait photographer specializing in women’s portraiture and Fine Art conceptual photography which highlights the elusive and fragile essence of feminine beauty. She is known for her creative use of natural elements such as water and fog which, along with precise posing, works to create timeless portraits that look more like artworks than photography. She has pioneered the use of fog photography in everyday studios, allowing clients to enjoy what used to be the exclusive domain of fine art photographers.
This program will also feature Geniia Elliot. Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Geniia Elliot pursued her passion for makeup artistry in 2012.
Beginning her career at Shiseido, she quickly found her creative voice and became a makeup artist for Dior.
In 2014 Geniia was invited to work with award-winning photographer Tatiana Lumiere , which enabled her to travel nationally and attend exclusive workshops in which she demonstrated her makeup skills.
Her artistic collaboration with Tatiana Lumiere’s photography received multiple awards with the WPPI, the world’s largest photography association.
Geniia has experience in fashion, theater, workshops, individual makeovers, weddings, and photoshoots. She is known for achieving flawless skin and a natural, sophisticated look for her wedding and portrait clients. Her strength is in her ability to bring out the natural beauty of every subject, regardless of gender or ethnicity. She is capable of achieving any desired look in a creative and professional way.
Tatiana’s program will dive into working with female subjects to capture their innate beauty. From start to finish, attendees will understand how to work with hair and make up, costuming, posing and the photography process. Don’t forget to bring your camera! You will be invited to photograph using Tatiana’s stylings and suggestions to add to your portfolio. Grab your seat bright and early before this workshop begins at 10:00am.
