Join us for a Gatsby Glam wedding workshop on Sunday, April 7th featuring the talented New Jersey native Erin Usawicz. She will take us step by step through her workflow in real time, outlining her best practices. From the details to the reception, Erin will guide attendees on her methods, demonstrate her photography live, and offer advice during breakouts. Don’t forget to bring your camera! Erin will invite photographers to get up close and personal to her thoughtfully constructed vignettes and to join in when she explains how to successfully work with the bride and groom. Following the conclusion of Erin’s presentation, she will be available for questions and answers, but also and for portfolio reviews. He will share his discuss personal branding and social media practices for photographers story of success and discuss and how to help you can reach your target audience. Matt will be available for additional questions after his presentation, including the chance to pick up his latest book “Leader of the Pack”.

How much does it cost to attend the 2019 convention for a PPANJ Member?
If you take advantage of our Early Bird special, an all access pass for all activities from on April 7th-8th the registration fee is will cost $135. Hurry though - this price only lasts until March 5th, 2019 at midnight! Afterwards, the cost of attending the convention will be $180 for members.
If I am not a PPANJ member, what is the cost?
A non-member can attend our conference for $280. However, if you want to sign up for 1 free year of PPANJ membership, you can attend for $255. What a deal!
What are the perks of becoming a member of PPANJ?
Where do we begin? You will have free access to our monthly educational workshop featuring different photographers and meetings, which normally costs $25 per meeting for non-members. As a member you will be listed on our website through the "Find A Photographer" link for those who are looking for local professional photographers in NJ. Our Members enjoy a discount during for our annual print competition, where professional photographers submit their work to receive feedback by PPA trained judges and have a chance towards earning credits and members-only awards. Please see the Competition section for more information. You will meet like-minded individuals who enjoy photography and have valuable insight on how to run a successful photography business. Our members and the volunteers who make up the Board of Directors are open and willing to share information and answer any questions you may have. and can point you in the right direction, whatever that may be. What if I am a student, can I register for the convention?
Absolutely! All students can pay $75 to take advantage of our two day event.
Valid / active student ID is required at the door.
Can I stay at at The Kenilworth Inn ? What does a room cost?
Of course! The Early Bird special room rate is $129 + 17% tax until midnight on March 15th, 2019. Don’t wait - we only have a limited block of rooms available! Otherwise, a room will cost $139 + 17% per night, which is still a discount rate for our convention attendees. Please contact the Hotel to make your reservation, request the PPA NJ Convention room rate.
Should I bring a camera?
Please do! Erin’s wedding class will walk you through a true wedding timeline with breakouts to allow you to capture moments and add to your portfolio. Keep in mind, any images captured during the convention cannot be used for competition.
Should I bring my own food or drinks?
We’ve got you covered! Our generous sponsors will provide lunch, breakfast and water throughout the convention. Your registration also includes a sit-down dinner on Sunday night.
